9 Cheerful St. Patrick’s Day Speech and Language Activities and Books

March is often one of the longest months of the year…No, it doesn’t actually have more days than all the other months. But it normally is the month when teachers and students get NO extra days off, no holidays, three-day weekends, or breaks. The only thing saving March right now is St. Patrick’s Day. March 17th is a day full of green, leprechauns, and rainbows. I love adding in some St. Patrick’s Day speech therapy activities throughout the month.

I’ve rounded up my favorite St. Patrick’s Day speech therapy activities that I do with my kiddos the whole month of March. We have so much fun enjoying all the green, gold, leprechauns, St. Patrick’s Day themed books, activities, etc.

St. Patrick’s Day Books

As a speech-language pathologist, I know how important it is for students to not only practice skills but hear the skill from a fluent speaker or in a natural way. This is exactly why I love using books during my speech therapy sessions. Books are just as important in the speech room as other speech therapy materials. There are just so many St. Patrick’s Day speech and language books out there! Here are some of my favorite St. Patrick’s Day books for the speech room.
